CLUB OBJECTIVES:
FROM LHASA APSO CANADA CONSTITUTION 1973
1)
to encourage and promote the ownership and breeding of pure-bred
Lhasa Apsos and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to
perfection.
2)
to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed
as approved by the Canadian Kennel Club as the only standard of
excellence by which Lhasa Apsos shall be judged.
3)
to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the
breed and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and
obedience trials.
4)
to conduct sanctioned matches, specialty shows and obedience trials
under the rules of the Canadian Kennel Club.
CLUB MEMBERSHIPS
FROM LHASA APSO CANADA BY-LAWS 1993
Membership is a privilege granted by the Board of
Directors at its discretion. It shall be limited to
persons interested in furthering the objectives set
forth in the Club's Constitution, whose applications
have been supported by two members in good
standing.
LHASA APSO CANADA members adhere to a
Code of Ethics which among other points
encourages members to be not only responsible
breeders but responsible owners. Members put
emphasis on the ownership of well socialized, well
trained and properly groomed Lhasa Apsos.
